Indian women grab team trophy in U17 Asian Wrestling Championship with 10 Medals

22 JUNE 2022: Indian Cadet Girls team won the U17 Asian Wrestling Championship Title for the first time in history by grabbing 8🥇Golds 1🥈 Silver 1🥉Bronze.

🌟Muskan (40 kg), Ritika (43 kg) Shruti (46 kg), Ahilya Shatrughan Shinde (49 kg), Reena (53 kg) Savita (61 kg), Priya (73 kg) and Shiksha (57 kg) put up brilliant display to grab the top spots for gold medals and Pulikit won Silver, (65kg) Mansi won Bronze (69kg) in their respective categories.

👉Day 3 Results:

🌟RITIKA of (🇮🇳 ) strikes GOLD medal by defeating Amanturova of (KGZ) 10-0 in womens wrestling 43 kg category at U23 & U17 Asian Championships.

🌟Ahilya Shatrughan Shinde (🇮🇳) strikes 🥇Gold medal by defeating Natsumi Masuda of Japan with a VSU, 10 – 0 verdict in the 49 kg final of Women’s wrestling.

🌟SHIKSHA (🇮🇳 ) Strikes 🥇Gold medal by defeating Sayaka Ota of Japan by VPO 5-0 in the final of womens wrestling 57 kg category.

🌟PRIYA strikes 🥇GOLD medal for 🇮🇳 as she defeated Alina Yertistok ( KAZ) by VFA 4-0 in the final of women wrestling 73 kg category.

🌟Pulkit Settles for🥈silver medal in the 65 kg Category as she was beaten by Gulnura Tashtanbekova of (KGZ) by VFA 5 – 0 in the final.

🏆Team India 🇮🇳 won the Under-17 Asian Wrestling Championship title with a total of 235 points while Japan had to be content with the runners-up trophy with 143 points and Mongolia finished third with 138 points.
