
01 Aug 2022, Birmingham: Srihari Nataraj clocked a time of 25.23s to finish a creditable fifth in the men’s 50m backstroke final, here at the Sandwell Aquatics Center on Monday.
He had finished with a time of 25.38s in the semi-final of the category. Earlier in the CWG 2022 campaign, the 21-year-old made it to the final of the men’s 100m backstroke event where he finished seventh.
New Zealand’s Andrew Jeffcoat won the gold medal in the men’s 50m backstroke final, Pieter Coetze and Javier Acevedo won the silver and bronze medals respectively.
