Bhavina Patel settles for Silver

29 Aug 2021, Tokyo: Bhavinaben Patel lost to World no 1 Ying Zhou of China 0-3 in final of women’s singles Class 4 category of Table Tennis at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, here on Sunday.

Bhavina lost to the Chinese paddler in straight sets 7-11,  5-11, 6-11 in a match that lasted 19 minutes. 

This is India’s first medal at 2020 Paralympics games. With today’s win Ying Zhou has won her third singles gold in Paralympics.

In Class 4 category of Table Tennis players have reasonable sitting balance and fully functional arms and hands. The impairment may be due to a lower spinal-cord lesion or cerebral palsy.
