SAURABH CHAUDHARY QUALIFIES FOR FINAL

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics shooting events were held at the Asaka Shooting Range. The men’s 10m Air Pistol is on 24 July 2021. In 10m Air Pistol, each shooter is required to fire 60 shots (10 in each series). The top eight shooters at the end of six series in the qualifyied for the final

World no. 2, Saurabh Chaudhary qualified for the final by topping the qualifying round with a score of 586. Another Indian, world no. 1 Abhishek Verma, however failed to reach the finals and finished 17th with a score of 575.

In the final, each of the eight finalists fires 24 competitive shots (two blocks of 5 each) followed by seven rounds of two single shots. Elimination will begin after the tenth shot.
