121st All India Beighton Cup tournament
Kolkata, Dec 24: Punjab National Bank (PNB) pumped in five goals to beat cag, Delhi 5-1 in the 121st All India Beighton Cup hockey tournament here on Saturday.

For PNB, Gagandeep Singh notched up a brace, Gurjinder Singh, Sumit Toppo and Shamsher Singh netted one goal each. For CAG Delhi, Navneet was the lone scorer.

In another fixture, ONGC beat Punjab & Sind Bank, 4-3 in a closely ought encounter with Simranjeet Singh, Ajay Yadav, Diwakar Ram and Jasbir Singh getting onto the score-sheet.

For Punjab & Sind Bank, Sarvanjit Singh scored twice with Gaganpreet Singh also getting onto the score-sheet.

In the third and final match of the day, Indian Oil blanked Army XI 3-0. For ONGC. One goal each came from the sticks of Roshan Minz, Vikas Sharma and Deepak Thakur.

Following their victories of Saturday, Punjab National Bank, ONGC and Indian Oil will join Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in the semi-finals.
