On the third day of the ongoing 32nd National Junior Athletics Championship at the Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore.
Rohit Yadav of Uttar Pradesh hurled the Javelin to distance of 72.05m. With this massive throw he not only earned gold medal but also broke Neeraj Chopra’s four year old record of 68.46m, which he created in Lucknow in U-16 boys’ category.
It is worth mentioning that Rohit Yadav is also the current World School Games champion, when he recorded a throw of 72.57m in U-18 category in Trabzon, Turkey, earlier this year.
With Rohit Yadav coming up after Neeraj Chopra, it’s certainly exciting times ahead for India in Javelin Throw.
